Good technology makes dental care faster, more accurate, and easier to understand. At Siena Dental, Dr. Bashir Motamedi and Dr. Bruce Beheshtin use digital tools at every stage of your care, from your first exam to implant surgery, so you can see what’s going on in your mouth and make decisions with confidence.
Here’s what you’ll find at our office on US-183 in Leander.
3D CBCT Scans
A cone beam CT (CBCT) scan gives your dentist a 3D view of your teeth, jawbone, nerves, and sinuses in a single quick scan. It shows what a flat X-ray can’t, like exactly how much bone is available for an implant or where a wisdom tooth sits in relation to a nerve.
Because our dentists place dental implants right here in Leander, the CBCT scan is central to how we plan. We map each implant’s position, angle, and depth before surgery, which leads to a more predictable procedure and a better fit.
3D Digital Impressions
If you’ve ever bitten into a tray of thick impression material, you’ll appreciate this one. We use a small handheld scanner to capture a detailed 3D model of your teeth in a few minutes, with no goop and no gagging.
Digital impressions are more precise than traditional molds, which means crowns, implant restorations, and Invisalign aligners fit better from the start. For Invisalign, the scan also lets your dentist show you a digital preview of how your teeth will move before you begin.
Digital X-Rays
Digital X-rays use far less radiation than traditional film, and the images appear on screen within seconds. Your dentist can zoom in on a small cavity, check bone levels, or spot an infection early, when treatment is simpler.
They’re part of every new patient exam at Siena Dental. See our New Patients page for our current new patient special.
Intraoral Cameras
An intraoral camera is about the size of a pen. It takes clear, close-up photos inside your mouth and puts them on a screen in front of you, so you see the cracked filling or inflamed gums your dentist sees.
We think you should understand your treatment before you agree to it. These photos make that conversation easy, and they give us a record to compare at future visits.
What This Means for Your Visit
- Clear answers: You see your own scans and photos, not just a diagnosis.
- Precise treatment: 3D planning and digital impressions help restorations and implants fit right.
- Fewer surprises: Problems show up earlier, when they cost less to fix.
- A more comfortable visit: No impression trays, quick imaging, and sedation options if you need them.
