Who Should Get Sealants?
Sealants are most often placed on permanent molars as soon as they come in, usually around ages 6 and 12. That’s when teeth are most likely to get cavities. Teens and adults with deep grooves and no fillings on those teeth can benefit too.
We see children starting at age 4 and check at each cleaning whether sealants make sense.
