Most people don’t walk in asking for a specific treatment. They say something like “I hate how yellow my teeth look in photos” or “this one tooth has always bugged me.” That’s the right place to start. Here’s how common concerns match up with our cosmetic dentistry options.
“My Teeth Look Yellow or Dull”
If the teeth are healthy and the color comes from coffee, tea, or age, professional whitening is usually the first step. At Siena Dental, Zoom in-office whitening takes about an hour. If the discoloration is deep, from a medication or an old injury, whitening may not reach it, and veneers or a crown may be a better fit.
“My Teeth Are Chipped, Uneven, or Oddly Shaped”
Porcelain veneers are thin shells bonded to the front of your teeth. They can change the shape, length, and color of several teeth at once, and they resist stains. They’re a bigger commitment than whitening, since a thin layer of enamel is usually removed, so they’re worth a real conversation first.
“My Teeth Are Crooked or Have Gaps”
If the teeth themselves are in good shape but in the wrong place, moving them may be better than covering them. Invisalign and other clear aligners straighten teeth without metal braces. Some people straighten first and then whiten or add veneers at the end.
“One Tooth Is Broken, Worn, or Has a Big Old Filling”
A crown covers the whole tooth, so it restores its strength and its look at the same time. We offer porcelain and zirconia crowns that are shaded to match your other teeth.
“I’m Missing a Tooth”
A gap is often the first thing people notice. A dental implant replaces the tooth root and all, so it looks and functions like a natural tooth. We offer a free implant consultation, a $475 value.
Doing More Than One Thing? Order Matters
If you’re combining treatments, the usual order is straighten, then whiten, then add crowns or veneers. Crowns and veneers don’t whiten, so we match them to your final, brighter shade.
What a Cosmetic Consultation Looks Like
At Siena Dental, we start with an exam to make sure your teeth and gums are healthy, since cosmetic work needs a healthy base. We talk about what you’d like to change, take photos and a digital scan, and lay out your options with costs. We accept all PPO plans and offer financing through CareCredit, Sunbit, and Compassionate Finance.
